Brief Summary

The study is randomized and single-blinded. Ethical approval is taken from ethical committee of Riphah International University, Lahore. Participants who meet the inclusion criteria will be enrolled and allocated in group A \& B through sealed envelope method by Non-probability Convenient random sampling technique. Subjects in Group A will receive variable resistance training. Group B will receive clubbel exercises.

Study Arms (2)

Variable resistance training

EXPERIMENTAL

Group A received VRT (Variable resistance training) duration was 8 weeks and involved 3 days/week, 20 min/day. The ROM and muscle strength were assessed at baseline and at the end of weeks 8th week.

Other: Variable resistance training

Clubbell exercises

EXPERIMENTAL

Group B received clubbell exercises duration was 8 weeks and involved 3 days/week, 20 min/day. The ROM and muscle strength were assessed at baseline and at the end of weeks 8th week.

Interventions

You may qualify if:

  • Participants of both genders aged 18-25 years who were active recreational badminton players were included in the study.
  • Eligible participants had been playing badminton regularly for more than one year, had a Body Mass Index (BMI) within the normal range (18.5-24.9 kg/m²), and were competing at the senior club level

You may not qualify if:

  • Participants were excluded if they had experienced shoulder pain within the previous year, demonstrated excessive shoulder laxity as determined by the apprehension, relocation, and release tests, or showed any signs of neuropathy. Individuals with a history of shoulder surgery or any injury within the past three months that had required cessation of badminton practice were also excluded from the study
