Outcome Measures

Primary Outcomes (1)

  • The diagnostic accuracy of chest Trauma Score and Thoracic Trauma Severity Score to predict mortality.

Chest Trauma Scoring (CTS): The Chest Trauma Scoring is composed of four different components with a point system assigned: * Age. * Pulmonary contusion. * Number of rib fractures. * The presence of bilateral rib fracture. The TTSS score includes five parameters (PaO2/FiO2, Rib fractures, Lung contusion, Pleural injuries) and the score ranged from 0 to 25 points.

Secondary Outcomes (1)

  • Need and duration of mechanical ventilation
