Brief Summary

Children with hemiparesis show characteristic walking pattern resulting from weakness and spasticity on one side of the body. Nordic walking (NW) engages both the upper and lower body, which can help improve coordination and balance.

Outcome Measures

Primary Outcomes (2)

  • Spatio-temporal parameters of gait

    Step and stride length in centimeters and cadence (number of steps in one minute)

    after 3 successive months

  • Kinematic gait analysis

    Measure the hip and knee flexion as well as ankle planter flexion angles

    after 3 successive months

Nw-group

EXPERIMENTAL

this group will recieve Nordic walking training

Other: Conventional physcial therapy programOther: Nordic walking trining

TM-group

EXPERIMENTAL

this group will recieve treadmill walking training

Other: Conventional physcial therapy programOther: treadmill trianing

Interventions

both groups will recive 60 minuts physical therapy training

Nw-groupTM-group

the NW-group will recive gait training for 15 minutes using walking poles

Nw-group

the TM-group will recive gait training for 15 minutes using treadmill device

Eligibility Criteria

Age6 Years - 10 Years
Sexall
Healthy VolunteersNo
Age GroupsChild (0-17)

You may qualify if:

  • Their age will range from 6-10 years, from both sexes.
  • Level I, II and III of gross motor functional classification system
  • Grade 1 and 1+ spasticity according to the Modified Ashworth Scale

You may not qualify if:

  • Uncontrolled epilepsy.
  • Mental retardation or autistic features.
  • Significant visual or auditory problems according to medical reports (audio-vestibular and ophthalmic examination),
