Brief Summary
This randomized controlled trial compares lower limb proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) combined with core stability training versus lower limb PNF alone in chronic stroke survivors. The study aims to determine whether adding core stability training produces greater improvements in dynamic balance and functional mobility.

Outcome Measures
Primary Outcomes (2)
Timed Up and Go (TUG) Test
The Timed Up and Go (TUG) Test is a reliable clinical test used to assess functional mobility, dynamic balance, walking ability, and risk of falls. A reduction in completion time generally indicates improved functional mobility
baseline and after 6 weeks of intervention.
10-Meter Walk Test (10MWT)
The 10-Meter Walk Test (10MWT) is a standardized clinical assessment used to measure walking speed (gait speed) in metres per second (m/s). Increased walking speed generally indicates improved walking performance.
baseline and after 6 weeks of intervention.
Study Arms (2)
Lower Limb PNF Combined with Core Stability Training
EXPERIMENTALLower limb PNF (D1/D2 diagonal and spiral patterns, rhythmic stabilization, functional PNF patterns) plus core stability exercises including bridging, planks, Swiss-ball activities and core integration; 5 times/week for 6 weeks; 30-35 minutes/session.
Lower Limb PNF alone
ACTIVE COMPARATORLower limb PNF using D1/D2 diagonal and spiral patterns, rhythmic stabilization and functional PNF patterns without added core stability exercises; 5 times/week for 6 weeks; 30-35 minutes/session.
Interventions
