SHAM COMPARATORInterventions
In Weeks 1-3, they completed 1 set of 8 × 30-meter straight-line sprints, with a 30-second rest after each sprint; in Weeks 4-6, the workload was increased to 2 sets of 8 × 30-meter sprints, with a 30-second rest between sprints within each set and a 3-minute rest between sets
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if:
- Age 18-24 years;
- At least 3 years of systematic soccer training;
- No history of severe lower-limb sports injuries within the past 6 months (defined as injuries resulting in ≥4 weeks of training cessation);
- No participation in any form of repeated sprinting or high-intensity interval training programs during the 2 months prior to the study.
You may not qualify if:
- Presence of any cardiovascular, metabolic, or musculoskeletal conditions that may affect testing or training;
- Inability to guarantee attendance during the study period (expected number of absences \> 2).
