Brief Summary
Knee osteoarthritis is similarly to the arthritis of the hip which is due to the degeneration of the cartilagre due to wear and tear forces on the knee joint. The aim of the study is to investigate the combined effects of active release and feldenkrais exercises on pain, range of motion and functional disability of patients with knee osteoarthritis.

Outcome Measures
Primary Outcomes (2)
Numerical Pain Rating Scale (NPRS)
Patient level of pain will be assessed using this scale. This scale ranges from 0 to 10. 0 indicates "no pain" and 10 indicates "worst pain". NPRS have shown high test-retest reliability (r = 0.96 and 0.95, respectively).

Universal Goniometer (UG)
The range of motion will be measured using universal goniometer that has an inter-rater reliability (ICC2, 2 = 0.79 to 0.92) for knee osteoarthritis.

Study Arms (2)
Active release and feldenkrais exercises along with standard physical therapy.
ACTIVE COMPARATORPatients will receive active release and feldenkrais exercises along with standard physical therapy treatment. Standardized Physiotherapy treatment: * Hot pack for 10 minutes and * TENS for 10 minutes * Hamstring stretching * Quadriceps strengthening * Squat release exercises
Active release exercises and standard physical therapy treatment.
OTHERPatients will receive active release exercises and standard physical therapy treatment. Standardized Physiotherapy treatment: * Hot pack for 10 minutes and * TENS for 10 minutes * Hamstring stretching * Quadriceps strengthening * Squat release exercises
Interventions
Patients will receive active release and feldenkrais exercises for 3 sessions per week for the total of 6 weeks each exercise 10 repetitions and 2 sets.
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if:
- Both genders with age between 40-60 with knee osteoarthritis.
- BMI 25-29.9
- Knee pain 3-7 on NPRS
- degree decrease in knee flexion range
You may not qualify if:
- Patient who used any corticosteroid injection during last six months.
- Patients who had any joint infection.
- Previous knee surgery.
- Grade 4/ advanced knee osteoarthritis
