Outcome Measures

Primary Outcomes (1)

  • Phlebitis Scale

Multiple measurements will be aggregated to arrive at one reported value (phlebitis) that consists of five symptom grades were included in the chemotherapy-induced phlebitis severity scale, ranging from zero to four in severity. The National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events version 4 (NCI-CTCAE) (41). Which is widely used by clinical oncologists, served as the basis for the selection of grading levels. Grade zero denotes no symptoms); (grade one mild), ( grade two moderate), ( grade three marked) (and grade four severe).

    24-48 hours

Study Arms (4)

sesame oil

EXPERIMENTAL

Sesame oil application is advised as a standard hospital treatment for patients receiving chemotherapy. It is possible to conduct a similar study with a large probability sample and in a variety of settings, allowing for greater generalization of the findings. The researchers will be applied 10 drops (3 mL) of 100% pure sesame oil in a circular motion for 5 minutes within 10 cm on the anterior forearm of the chemotherapy patient. They then gradually spread the oil around 10 cm toward the arm of the study group to improve absorption. Each 12 hours wasapplied 2-time morning and night. Record the frequency of phlebitis in the 24 and 48 hours after the intervention.

Biological: Sesame Oil

Aloe Vera gel

EXPERIMENTAL

The researcher will soak the skin in 5 cc of Aloe vera gel, drawn with a syringe, in a circular motion for 20 minutes within 10 cm on the anterior forearm of the chemotherapy patient. They then gradually spread the gel around 10 cm toward the arm of the study group to improve absorption. Each 12 hours, 2 time morning and night, record the frequency of phlebitis in the 24 hours after the intervention.

Biological: Aloe vera gel

nitroglycerin ointment

EXPERIMENTAL

The researchers will apply nitroglycerin ointment in a circular motion for 5 minutes over a 10 cm area on the anterior forearm of the chemotherapy patient. They then gradually spread the oil around 10 cm toward the arm of the study group to improve absorption. Each 12 hours, a 2-time morning and night record the frequency of phlebitis in the 24 and 48 hours after the intervention.
