NCT06649149

Brief Summary

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of game-based learning on aggressive patient management of nursing students. Material Method: The data of the study will be collected from senior nursing students in the 2024-2025 Academic Year using the "Participant Information Form, "Nursing Diagnosis Perception Scale" and "Therapeutic Communication Skills Scale for Nursing Students". The study is planned to be conducted in a randomized controlled trial design. H.1. Subject: The effect of game-based learning on aggressive patient management of nursing students H.2. Purpose of the Study: This study aims to determine the effect of game-based learning on aggressive patient management of nursing students. A case example for the management of an aggressive patient has been prepared by the researchers. The experimental group students will play the game prepared at https://genially.com/, which will be based on the prepared case. The control group students will handle the same case in class using the standard method. Data will be collected using the "Participant Information Form", "Nursing Diagnosis Perception Scale" and "Therapeutic Communication Skills Scale for Nursing Students".

Outcome Measures

Primary Outcomes (2)

  • Nursing Diagnosis Perception Scale (NDPS)

Students' perception levels of nursing diagnoses will be determined. The maximum score that can be obtained from the scale is 5 points and the minimum score is 1. A low total score obtained from the scale indicates that nursing diagnoses are perceived positively.

    to two months

  • Therapeutic Communication Skills Scale for Nursing Students (TCSSNS)

Therapeutic communication skill levels of students will be determined. The highest score that can be obtained from the scale is 112, the lowest score is 16. An increase in the score obtained from the scale indicates an increase in therapeutic communication skills.

    to two months
