Outcome Measures

Primary Outcomes (1)

  • Number of deaths

Number of patients who die from any cause within 28 days from intensive care unit admission.

    At 28 days

Secondary Outcomes (4)

  • Stress hyperglycemia ratio

    Baseline

  • Glucose coefficient of variation

    At 24 hours

  • ICU length of stay

    At 28 days

  • Number of patients requiring mechanical ventilation

    At 28 days

Study Arms (1)

Critically Ill Patients

Adult patients admitted to the intensive care unit who will undergo calculation of stress hyperglycemia ratio and glucose variability indices.
