Brief Summary
This study evaluated the effect of three-dimensional (simulations) virtual reality-based disaster training with simulation on disaster readiness among health science students. The study used a randomized controlled design. Participants assigned to the intervention group received disaster training using 3D virtual reality technology and simulation, while participants in the control group received usual education or training. Outcomes were assessed at baseline before the intervention, after completion of the training, and at a subsequent follow-up assessment. The study aimed to evaluate the effects of simulations virtual reality-based simulation training on disaster readiness over time.

Outcome Measures
Primary Outcomes (1)
Change in Disaster Readiness Score From Baseline to Post-Training
Change in disaster readiness among health science students from baseline before the intervention to immediately after completion of training, assessed using the published measurement instrument used in the study.
Baseline before the intervention to immediately after completion of training.
Secondary Outcomes (1)
Disaster Readiness Score at 8-Week Follow-Up
8 weeks after completion of the training.
Study Arms (2)
Virtual Reality-Based Disaster Training
EXPERIMENTALParticipants received disaster training using simulations virtual reality technology and simulation
Usual Education or Training
NO INTERVENTIONParticipants received disaster training without using simulations virtual reality technology and simulation
Interventions
Participants in the intervention group received disaster training using three-dimensional virtual reality technology and simulation. The training was designed to provide an immersive learning experience involving disaster scenarios to support disaster readiness among health science students. The intervention was delivered according to the study protocol.
