NCT07885189

Brief Summary

TuCAN-Media is a longitudinal study investigating cognitive recovery after stroke in severely affected patients (modified Rankin Scale \[mRS\] score ≥ 3) with large vessel occlusion of the arteria cerebri media/middle cerebral artery (MCA). Cognitive functioning and recovery will be assessed in a comprehensive multi-domain digital-based cognitive testing using the TuCAN-App to facilitate a standardized and rapid testing during the acute phase of a stroke (V2), as well as at 3month(V3)- and 6-month (V4) follow-ups.

Outcome Measures

Primary Outcomes (1)

  • Group comparision (Rec+ vs. Rec-) of cognitive function between acute stroke and at 3 month follow-up

Group comparison of cognitive function between visit 2 (V2) and visit 3 (V3) in patients with and without successful recanalization as assessed by the St. Louis University Mental Status (SLUMS) examination total score

    3 months

Secondary Outcomes (1)

  • Group comparision (Rec+ vs. Rec-) of cognitive function between 3 months and 6 months follow-up

    6 months

Study Arms (2)
