Brief Summary
This observational study aims to compare physical performance, quality of life, and mental health levels between older adults who participate in hiking at least once a week for at least 6 months and sedentary older adults. The study includes 58 older adults, with 29 participants in the hiking group and 29 participants in the sedentary group. Physical performance, quality of life, and mental health are assessed using standardized assessment tools.

Outcome Measures
Primary Outcomes (1)
2-Minute Step Test
The 2-Minute Step Test was used to assess physical performance in older adults. Participants were asked to step in place for 2 minutes, raising each knee to a predetermined target height based on the midpoint between the iliac crest and the patella. The number of correctly performed right knee raises reaching the target height during 2 minutes was recorded as the test score. Higher scores indicate better physical performance.
