Brief Summary

The aim of this clinical study is to investigate whether FLJ gel has effects on oral health, such as reducing BOP or plaque, and whether it affects the reduction of aMMP-8. The main questions are:

  • Does FLJ gel reduce signs of oral inflammation?
  • Are there any issues in the mouth when using the gel? Participants will:
  • Apply FLJ gel twice a day every day for a month
  • Visit the clinic every two weeks for check-ups and tests
  • Keep a diary of your symptoms and how many times you use FLJ gel.

Fermented lingonberry gel for oral health care

Eligibility Criteria

Age25 Years - 90 Years
Sexall
Age GroupsAdult (18-64), Older Adult (65+)

You may qualify if:

  • healthy individuals
  • patients with systemic diseases
  • who had preserved cognitive functioning
  • experienced dry mouth

You may not qualify if:

  • were the use of other mouthwashes
  • pregnancy
  • antibiotic treatment within the past six months
  • the use of chlorhexidine mouthwash (CHX) within the past six months.
  • No periodontal treatments were performed at the beginning of the study or during its course.
