Apical deviation
The linear deviation between the planned and actual implant apex position measured on post-operative CBCT superimposition.
Immediately after surgery (Post-operative CBCT).

Full Sequence Computer Guidance
EXPERIMENTALPatients undergo dental implant placement using full-sequence computer guidance, where implant site preparation and insertion are accomplished using all sequential drills and metal reducers with the surgical guide.
Single Drill / Pilot-Guided Computer Guidance
ACTIVE COMPARATORPatients undergo dental implant placement using first-drill (pilot-guided) computer guidance, where the initial pilot osteotomy is performed through the surgical guide, followed by removal of the guide and completion of the remaining sequential drilling and implant placement freehand.

Dental implant placement using full sequence computer guidance with all sequential drills and metal reducers
Dental implant placement using first-drill (pilot-guided) computer guidance, followed by freehand sequential drilling and placement
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if:
- Age \>= 18 years, both sexes
- Patients requiring dental implant placement in the posterior region (molar area)
- Patients systemically healthy with no medical history contraindicating implant surgery
- Sufficient inter-arch space for future prosthesis (minimum 7 mm)
You may not qualify if:
- Bone height \< 6 mm at the proposed implant site
- Inadequate oral hygiene
- Heavy smoking (\>10 cigarettes/day)
- Alcohol or drug abuse
- Pregnancy
- Local or systemic infection
- Uncontrolled metabolic disease (e.g., diabetes mellitus)
- Severe hepatic or renal dysfunction
- Chemotherapy or radiotherapy within the last 5 years
- Immunosuppression therapy or autoimmune disorders
- Complete edentulism
- Pathological conditions such as periapical or periodontal abscesses
- Untreated gingivitis or periodontitis
