Brief Summary
This study aims to evaluate the acute effect of standardized taping of the dominant ankle on lower limb asymmetry during the countermovement jump (CMJ) test in healthy judokas. Forty healthy, active judokas aged 18-35 years will perform CMJ testing under two conditions: with and without standardized ankle taping. Lower limb asymmetry and selected biomechanical parameters will be measured using the Meloq EasyBase force platform. The results may improve understanding of the effects of ankle taping on jumping performance and contribute to injury prevention strategies in sport.

Lower-Limb Asymmetry During the Countermovement Jump Test
Lower-limb asymmetry will be assessed using force plate measurements during the countermovement jump test.
Immediately after standardized ankle taping and without taping (single study visit)
Study Arms (2)

EXPERIMENTALParticipants perform the countermovement jump test after standardized taping of the dominant ankle. jump heigh, force, and lower-limb asymmetry are assessed.
No Ankle Taping
ACTIVE COMPARATORParticipants perform the countermovement jump test without ankle taping. Jump height, force, and lower-limb asymmetry are assessed.
Interventions
Standardized taping was applied to the dominant ankle before performing the countermovement jump test to evaluate its acute effect on lower-limb asymmetry and jump performance.

Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if:
- Healthy male and female judo athletes aged 18-35 years.
- Regular participation in judo training (minimum 3 training sessions per week).
- No musculoskeletal injury of the lower extremities within the previous 6 months.
- Willingness to participate and provide written informed consent.
You may not qualify if:
- Current pain or injury affecting the lower extremities or spine.
- Previous lower-limb surgery.
- Neurological, vestibular, or balance disorders.
- Allergy or intolerance to adhesive sports tape.
- Refusal or inability to provide informed consent.
