Brief Summary

The aim of this observational study is to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Oral Assessment Sheet (OAS). The OAS is a clinical assessment tool developed to evaluate oral health conditions such as lips, tongue, mucosa, saliva, swallowing, and voice. This study will investigate whether the Turkish version of the OAS is a valid and reliable tool for assessing oral health status in clinical practice. Participants will undergo oral assessment using the Turkish version of the OAS. Statistical analyses will be performed to determine the validity and reliability of the scale. The results of this study are expected to provide a standardized oral assessment tool that can be used in Turkish clinical settings.

  • Validity and Reliability of the Turkish Version of the Oral Assessment Sheet (OAS)

    Evaluation of the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the Oral Assessment Sheet (OAS), including internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and construct validity in adults aged 60 years and older.

Intervention Type: Other Intervention Name: Assessment with the Turkish version of the Oral Assessment Sheet (OAS) Intervention Description: Participants will undergo oral assessment using the Turkish version of the Oral Assessment Sheet (OAS) for validity and reliability analysis.

Study Population

The study population consists of individuals aged 60 years and older who attend the dental clinic of Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Dentistry and meet the inclusion criteria. Participants will be recruited on a voluntary basis.

You may qualify if:

  • Age 60 years or older
  • Ability to understand Turkish
  • Voluntary participation and provision of written informed consent
  • Ability to undergo oral examination and assessment
  • Adequate cognitive and psychological status

You may not qualify if:

  • Individuals who refuse to participate in the study
  • Individuals who withdraw from the study during the research process
  • Individuals with severe cognitive impairment preventing completion of the assessment
  • Individuals with conditions preventing oral examination
