Brief Summary

The goal of this study is to understand the factors that influence consumers when seeking aesthetic medicine services in Malaysia. The study aims to answer the following questions:

  1. 1.What factors influence consumers when seeking aesthetic medicine services?
  2. 2.Do sociodemographic factors (such as age, gender, and income) affect these factors?
  3. 3.What criteria do consumers consider when choosing a clinic for aesthetic medicine services?

Primary Outcomes (1)

  • Consumer preference factors for aesthetic medicine services in Malaysia

    The factors including personal desires, physical concerns, psychosocial influences, social media exposure, influence from others, and significant life events are evaluated through a survey using a Likert scale to assess participants' level of agreement with statements related to the respective factors. Responses are rated on a 5-point scale (1 = strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = not sure, 4 = agree, 5 = strongly agree).

Study Population

Individuals who have either received or plan to received aesthetic treatment in the future.

You may qualify if:

  • Malaysian citizens above 18 years old.
  • Individuals who have either received or plan to received aesthetic treatment in the future.
  • Willing to participate in the study

You may not qualify if:

  • Individuals unable to provide informed consent.
  • Individuals who cannot understand either Bahasa Malaysia or English.
