Primary Outcomes (1)
prevalence of VAP among patients ( the number of patients diagnosed with VAP during the study period
The prevalence of VAP will be compared between two intensive care units over a 6-month period after implementing an educational program for nurses and cleaning staff on the preventive care bundle for VAP prevention.

ICU with trained staff
EXPERIMENTALThe intensive care unit where nurses and cleaning staff will receive a routine VAP prevention program and constructive training
ICU with non-trained staff
EXPERIMENTALThe Intensive care unit, where nurses and cleaning staff will receive only routine training for the prevention of VAP
Interventions
Implementation of constructivist training on VAP in small groups
Implementation of routine training on VAP in large groups
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if:
- age \> 18 years
- patients receiving mechanical ventilation for more than 48 hours
You may not qualify if:
- A clinical diagnosis of pneumonia at the time of admission
