Brief Summary

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of resourcefulness interventions on interpersonal competence, relationship adjustment, and negative emotion in young adults. An interventional and longitudinal study design will be used to design resourcefulness intervention groups and examine the effects of resourcefulness group interventions on interpersonal competence, relationship adjustment, and negative emotion in young adults.

    The levels of resourcefulness

    Four times, T0 pretest, T1 six weeks later, T2 three months later, T3 six months. From date of first documented progression, assessed up to 7.5 months.

  • Interpersonal Competence Questionnaire

    The levels of interpersonal competence

    Four times, T0 pretest, T1 six weeks later, T2 three months later, T3 six months. From date of first documented progression, assessed up to 7.5 months.

  • Relationship Adjustment Scale

    The adjustment situation in the relationship

    Four times, T0 pretest, T1 six weeks later, T2 three months later, T3 six months. From date of first documented progression, assessed up to 7.5 months.

  • State-Trait Anxiety Inventory-S

    The levels of anxiety

    Four times, T0 pretest, T1 six weeks later, T2 three months later, T3 six months. From date of first documented progression, assessed up to 7.5 months.

  • Center for Epidemiological Studies National Institute of Mental Health-Depression Scales

    The levels of depression

Intervention group

EXPERIMENTAL

6 group activities designed with resourcefulness skills will be performed in the intervention group. 1. Introduction of Resourcefulness 2. Issue of the Interpersonal Competence: Applications of both personal and social resourcefulness strategies 3. Issues of the Interpersonal Competence \& Relationship Adjustment: Applications of both personal and social resourcefulness strategies 4. Issue of the Relationship Adjustment: Applications of both personal and social resourcefulness strategies 5. Issue of the Negative Emotion: Applications of both personal and social resourcefulness strategies 6. Conclusion

Behavioral: Resourcefulness intervention

Observation group

NO INTERVENTION

No intervention for the observation group.

Teaching personal and social resourcefulness skills.

Age GroupsAdult (18-64)

You may qualify if:

  • Participants who have ever had at least one experience in the relationship.

You may not qualify if:

  • The ones who are taking continuous education in the evening.
  • The ones who have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder, panic disorder, or other psychotic diseases which influenced cognitive functions.
