Brief Summary

The responsibilities of caring for a disabled family member may cause caregivers to develop risky behaviors for caregiver's health. Therefore, we aimed to examine the relationship between caregiver burdens and healthy lifestyle behaviors of family members caring for a disabled child.

  • Caregiver Burden Scale

    The scale has a Likert-type rating ranging from 0 to 4 as "never, rarely, sometimes, quite often, almost always". A minimum of 0 and a maximum of 88 points can be obtained from the scale. The items in the scale are generally related to the social and emotional domain, and a high score indicates a high level of distress.

Caregiver Family Member with disabled children

You may qualify if:

  • Volunteering to participate in the study
  • Having a disabled child to take care of
  • Being literate

You may not qualify if:

  • The age of the disabled person being cared for is over 24 years old.
