  • Cobb angle

    anteroposterior x-ray was taken with the entire spine of the patients standing

Schroth group

ACTIVE COMPARATOR

The Schroth group performed Schroth exercises

Other: exercise

PNF group

ACTIVE COMPARATOR

PNF group (PG) performed "chop and lift" exercises

Interventions

participants were between ages 10-18, volunteered for the study, were diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, were Cobb angle between 10-30 degrees, were 0-3 Risser sign, and were Lenke curve type 1.

Healthy VolunteersYes
Age GroupsChild (0-17), Adult (18-64)

You may qualify if:

  • Participants were between ages 10-18
  • Volunteered for the study.
  • Diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis
  • Cobb angle between 10-30 degrees
  • Risser sign
  • Lenke curve type 1

You may not qualify if:

  • non-idiopathic scoliosis
  • previous spinal surgery
  • who had exercise contraindications who had rheumatological disease who had mental handicap and who another neuromuscular problem
