Primary Outcomes (1)
prevalence of prehypertension among graduate medical students
the point prevalence of prehypertension at the time of survey will be estimated - as the students were examined over two weeks

Secondary Outcomes (1)
correlation between blood pressure (Prehypertension) and BMI (obesity), Blood glucose, LDL level (dyslipidemia)

Study Arms (2)
prehypertensives
students will be classified as prehypertensives as per the JNC-7 (Joint National Commission) guidelines based on their Blood Pressure measurement
normotensives
students will be classed as normotensives based on their BP measurement as per JNC-7 guidelines (systolic \<120 AND diastolic \<80)
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate Medical Students
You may qualify if:
- Medical Students studying MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine \& Bachelor of Surgery) in Andhra Medical College
- clinically healthy
- consent to participate in the study
You may not qualify if:
- known cardiovascular disease
- known hypertension
- using antihypertensive or other cardiovascular drugs
- using any drugs that can affect BP, weight, Blood sugar
